Miscreants slashed a leader of Jubo League (JL), the youth wing of ruling Awami League (AL), to death in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong district on Monday. The deceased Md Golam Mostafa, 45, was the vice-president of the Korerhat Union unit of Mirsarai upazila Jubo League and a poultry businessman in the area, said police sources. The incident took place in the Botala area of Dakhhin Olinagar of Korerhat union. Family members spotted the dead body in the morning and informed police,” the ASP said. According to ASP Mahbub, the reason behind the murder was yet to be ascertained and the body had been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for autopsy.
