She also filed an appeal against a trial court order seeking relevant documents of the case, her counsel Advocate Syfuzzaman Tuhin told Dhaka Tribune on Thursday. On June 23, a case was filed with Tejgaon police station against six people, including JKG CEO Ariful Chowdhury, over fake Covid-19 test reports. Sabrina was arrested on July 12 for her alleged involvement in the scam. Following her arrest Sabrina was suspended from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), where she worked as a cardiac surgeon. Earlier on Thursday, a Dhaka court remanded her for two days in a case filed by the Election Commission for obtaining two national identity cards (NIDs).
