LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Saturday that the joint investigation team (JIT) report on the money laundering case against former president Asif Ali Zardari was leaked as part of a “planned conspiracy”. Speaking through video-link on the birth anniversary of the late PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal said the JIT report was finalised without seeking a response from both Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and former CM Qaim Ali Shah. “The [JIT] report is not the verdict,” he added. Separately, Bilawal said that only elected members could represent the masses as they understood public issues. The PPP chief added that his party demanded indiscriminate accountability in the country.
