“He’s eager and fortunately because we were healthy and playing pretty well we were able to give him enough time to get back to feeling right about playing and getting back in the lineup,” Jets coach Paul Maurice said. That was solely my take on how that game was gonna be played and that Matt Hendricks was built to play that game. “The development process there is the right way to do it for sure. “The biggest thing for me was I got to work with young players and now the NHL has become a younger league,” he said. “ Being able to work with young players in that league isn’t a whole lot different from being able to work with young players in the NHL.
