PETALING JAYA: Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) completed their M-League double after recording a comfortable 3-0 win over Kedah to clinch the 2019 Malaysia Cup. The Southern Tigers clinched their second Malaysia Cup title thanks to goals from Leandro Velazquez (27th minute), Safawi Rasid (35th) and Syafiq Ahmad (57th) at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday (Nov 2) night. Kedah who were weakened by the suspension of their defenders – centreback Renan Alves and rightback Rizal Ghazali and could not cope up with JDT's firepower. The Red Eagles ended up suffering the same fate in their previous Malaysia Cup final against JDT in 2017, where they went down 0-2.
