US-based retail chain JCPenney has appointed Kaushik Das as its new MD in India. In his new role, Das will take on the responsibility of driving innovation and leading the transformation strategy for the company. In India JCPenney entered almost 18 years ago with the launch of its office in Bengaluru. Prior to JCPenney, Das has held leadership roles at organisations such as Giant Eagle, Kabbage Inc. and Target. Sharmeelee Bala, chief information officer, JCPenney India said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Kaushik as the new managing director of JCPenney India.
