On May 22, 2018, JC Penney suddenly became rudderless. While the CEO office has lacked a merchant, it was occupied by some very strong leaders of the company. That is unfair, since Sears Holding is going broke on a planned basis, while there is fire in JC Penney to get a fresh start. I like to think that can change ‘The Bad’ of today into ‘The Good’ in the future. I think there are several factors that could set up a positive outlook for JC Penney.
