New Delhi, March 27 (PTI): The Supreme Court today asked the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir government to "sit together" and decide whether Muslims could be treated as minorities in the state. "This is a very very important issue. You both sit together and take a stand on it," a bench of Chief Justice J.S. Kaul said, asking for a report in four weeks. The plea said the rights of the "minorities" in the state were being "siphoned off illegally and arbitrarily" because "unqualified sections" were being extended benefits.
