Two top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, including commander Bashir Lashkari, were shot dead in an encounter with security forces at Brenti-Batpora village in Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday. Lashkari was allegedly involved in the killing of six security personnel last month. Slogans like ‘SHO Feroz Amar Rahe’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ were also raised by security personnel. This is the second success witnessed by security forces in less than 15 days. On June 16, LeT commander Junaid Ahmad Mattoo was killed along with two associates in a gunfight with security forces at Arwani village.
