President William Ruto has disclosed that over the past 10 years, he has spent over Sh250 million fundraising for boda boda associations. This translates to; "I have done almost 200 fundraisers for boda boda operators. Ruto said he insisted that the few who are criminals in the boda boda sector be treated as such. "One time we were in Kisumu and there was a big push to say that boda boda operators are criminals and thieves. I stood up in that meeting in Kisumu and said boda boda operators are business people, just like the other business people.
