Former PS Irungu Nyakera yesterday said he is ready to cooperate with investigators probing the multibillion dams scandal to unearth the truth. The ex-Devolution and Planning PS insisted that he was clean and would tell the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti as much if summoned. The ex-PS yesterday said he was willing to take on his political rivals whom he accused of "sponsoring a smear campaign against him" using the dams probe. Irungu, who has since joined politics and is the Democratic Party of Kenya deputy party leader, signalled his ambitions to run for political office in the 2022 polls. I have also shed off my kiddie gloves and therefore willing to go head on with the specific individuals trying to muddy my good name,” he said.
