On Wednesday, Chris Leroux’s time as TV’s Bachelor Canada comes to an end (W Network at 9 p.m.). In the season finale, we’ll watch Leroux, a 33-year-old former major league baseball pitcher, choose between Lyndsey, a 23-year-old publicist from Vancouver, and Mikaela, a 27-year-old publicist from Winnipeg who lives in Toronto. But Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s TV adventure as The Bachelor is just beginning and on New Year’s Day no less (City and ABC at 8 p.m.)Luyendyk was the runner-up on spinoff series The Bachelorette in 2012 and has been vocal about the fact that star Emily Maynard broke his heart. This week he told media in a conference call that the timing was right for him to take another crack at TV love.
