A Voiceforous Activist of the ruling NPP, Hajia Fati slapped a Multimedia journalist at the party's headquarters a day after Ghana hosted World Press Freedom Day. Hajia Fati explains she thought the journalist was an onion seller. He said it was not enough for the ruling party to just condemn the actions of Hajia Fati but needs to show decisiveness by sanctioning her to serve as a deterrent to others. He reiterated that "if Government appreciates that the fundamental human rights of its citizens must be upheld, then it must not just condemn but sanction Hajia Fati to serve as a deterrent to others".
