If Australia wanted a preview of the reception that awaits them on Saturday, it was on full display at Mt Smart Stadium on Wednesday. The south Auckland venue was a wash of red and white as thousands of fans turned out in force for the Mate Ma'a Tonga fan day ahead of their historic clash with the Kangaroos. Chants of "Mate Ma'a Tonga" and "horse power" could be heard from the neighbouring streets as the players were greeted to a chorus of cheering when they arrived. Kangaroos forward Josh McGuire is the only Australian to have played against Tonga, as a member of the Samoan national side.
