KUALA LUMPUR: Controversial cosmetics entrepreneur Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman or popularly known as Nur Sajat was found to be born and registered as male. Federal Territories mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad al-Bakri said based on the verification information of Nur Sajat’s identity card registration obtained from NRD, the name was Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman. He also said PMWP was never involved in verifying Nur Sajat’s identity, which was handled by Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) in 2018. Federal Territories mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad al-Bakri said based on the verification information of Nur Sajat’s identity card registration obtained from NRD, the name was Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman. Meanwhile, Dr Zulkifli said the travel agency that managed Nur Sajat’s umrah trip must be responsible for the issue.
