The government of Italy on Tuesday expressed an interest in helping Ethiopia and Eritrea link through railway network by funding the feasibility study cost for the project. Commenting on Italy’s support, the Ethiopian Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the government of Italy. This is just one of the many collaborations, agreements, and deals between some of Europe’s superpowers and African countries. UK prime minister Theresa May and French President Emmanuel Macron were also in the news for state visits to African countries. The CFA franc is used in eight West African countries and six Central African countries.
