Anne Plamondon, one of Montreal’s most respected dance artists, returns to Toronto with a new work she says has taken her entire career to make. The duet is called “Only You,” performed by Plamondon and James Gregg, who’s based in Los Angeles. As Plamondon recounts, famed teacher Daniel Sellier had already mapped out a career for her as a classical ballerina. It was not until her mid-30s, in 2012, that Plamondon began to choreograph and then almost accidentally, as she explained. He’s very patient and very respectful.”“I can be pretty vocal,” said Gregg, “but Anne was always willing to listen to my ideas.
