Fire damaged three homes in the northwest community of Sage Hill on Tuesday, according to the Calgary Fire Department. Dawn Marschlik said she was home with her husband when she saw flames coming from the back deck of her neighbour's house. "My husband grabbed the fire extinguisher and we tried to put it out or contain it," she said. "It just spread so fast." Firefighters responded to the residential area around 11:30 a.m. and found the fire had spread from the first house and damaged two adjacent homes, as well.
