The member of Parliament who is also a Ranking Member for the Select Committee on Defence and Interior added that giving jail sentence to weed smokers would not solve the problem but will only make it worse. "They are sick and even whiles in prison they try to find ways and means of getting the substance to smoke. So, it is clear the arrest and prosecution of drug addicts is not the way to go.”, James Agalga stated. James Agalga also sent a passionate appeal to parliament to decriminalize the use of marijuana by passing the Narcotics Control Commission Bill into law.
