There are still debates on how Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) would implement the High Court order asking to block access to the online game “Blue Whale” within six months. However, the BTRC is making a serious effort to block access to the harmful game, which actively attempts to trigger suicide among its players. Any search query related to Blue Whale is being sent through a content filter, to help block access to harmful content. “We have been instructed by the BTRC to block access to the game, because to be honest, the game itself cannot be blocked,” said the ISPAB president.
