It’s a powder day at the high-country ski areas in the Mid-Atlantic


Recent storms have produced some excellent conditions at the high-country ski resorts in the Mid-Atlantic. Snowshoe has picked up 15 inches in the past 48 hours. As we were thinking, the ski areas that could power through the February heat wave could be rewarded with March coming in like a lion. Midwinter conditions return just in time at Snowshoe as they celebrate the Ballhooter Spring Break of the Dead Festival this weekend. This morning, White Grass reported a settled snow pack of 11 inches and 25 kilometers of groomed trails.
