The all-new Isuzu MU-X SUV has arrived in New Zealand, gaining the platform and engine from the D-Max ute, more towing capacity, better off-road capabilities and better technology. The MU-X hasn’t been put through ANCAP testing yet but Isuzu New Zealand is confident that, like the ute, it will also achieve a five-star rating. Isuzu Utes New Zealand General Manager Sam Waller says, “The first-generation MU-X has always been a favourite amongst families in the rural community given its durability and reliability. This reflects a similar increase in price – and, it has to be said, quality – the D-Max ute saw when it was introduced here last year.
