Istanbul nightclub attack suspect reportedly nabbed after two-week manhunt


The suspect in the deadly New Year's Day terror attack at an Istanbul nightclub was arrested Monday after a manhunt lasting more than two weeks, Turkish media reported. The private NTV television station reported that the house targeted in the raid belonged to a to a Kyrgyz friend of the suspect. The paper added that the suspect was to undergo medical checks before being taken to a police headquarters for questioning. NTV reported that Masharipov had resisted arrest. The Islamic State (ISIS) group has claimed responsibility, saying the attack was in reprisal for Turkish military operations in northern Syria.
