According to Mr Adongo, the President would be going against the constitution should he do that. He stressed that the party was not going to sit idle for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to "subvert the will of the people". The incumbent President is the one intending to declare himself as the President (elect), even when the constitution requires that the EC is mandated to do that. He revealed that the NDC in the Bolgatanga Central constituency will soon embark on a victory march to acknowledge John Dramani Mahama as the President-Elect of Ghana.
