Conricus said Israel's strikes killed eight militants in a variety of "high-quality" targets, all of which have been deemed legitimate militant sites. He said Israel has struck the homes of militants in which militant activity was observed and had no knowledge of civilians being harmed by Israeli fire. The differing number of fatalities could not be immediately reconciled.
