Our Special CorrespondentNew Delhi: Air India will launch its direct New Delhi-Tel Aviv flight on Thursday, flying over Saudi Arabia and ending a decades-old ban by Riyadh on planes over-flying the kingdom on their way to or from Israel. "The Air India flights to Israel will start from March 22. Many Muslim nations do not recognise Israel and, therefore, prohibit airlines' Israel services from using their airspace. The inaugural flight will take off from New Delhi at 6pm on Thursday and land at Tel Aviv at 9.45pm local time. The return flight will leave Tel Aviv at 11.15pm and reach New Delhi at 10am, the airline said.
