Israel has closed its Taba border crossing with Egypt amid fears of an imminent attack against tourists at Red Sea resorts. Thousands of Israelis were expected to visit Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula over Passover, despite an official warning issued last month by Israel’s counterterrorism bureau. It only applies to Israeli citizens; foreigners will be allowed to cross the border. Officials said that Israelis who were already in Egypt would be allowed to return through the border crossing. Less than an hour after the border was closed, a rocket landed in a greenhouse in southern Israel.
