The Israeli Air Force has launched a fresh round of airstrikes in western and central Iran, claiming to have hit more than 30 targets, Middle East Eye reported on Sunday. In a statement, the Israeli military said dozens of fighter jets took part in the operation under the direction of military intelligence. The strikes targeted ballistic missile units and air defence systems of what it described as the “terrorist regime” in Iran. Israel also said its operations against Iranian air defence installations, missile bases, military headquarters and other “regime targets” would continue.
