Isolation bus journey: Man says they travelled 15 minutes before learning they were headed for Rotorua


He says there hasn’t been a Covid-19 case resulting from managed isolation facilities despite recent bungles. Stuff Air Commodore Darryn Webb says he makes no apologies for the tough rules in place in isolation facilities. Government activated two new managed isolation facilities in Rotorua this weekend, after the Auckland facilities reached capacity. "I acknowledge that those arriving on this flight had an expectation they were completing their managed isolation in Auckland," Webb said. As of 1pm on Sunday, there were 4272 people in managed isolation facilities, with more expected in the new few days as more flights come into the country.
