Isoc sets big security drill for next monthThe Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc) will carry out a major drill next month aimed at testing its new internal security plan, spokesman Thanathip Sawangsaeng said yesterday. He spoke after a meeting with security units that report directly to Isoc. Public participation in Isoc's approach to prevention and handling of security threats will also be tested and an assessment of potential security threats conducted during the exercise, he added. Maj Gen Thanathip said new technologies adopted by Isoc to improve efficiency in the dissemination of news and information about its operations will also be tested. A total of 113,719 drug suspects were sent to rehabilitation centres for addicts, Maj Gen Thanathip added.
