KUCHING: The Rural and Regional Development Ministry is committed to ensuring that no projects are delayed in Sarawak. Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said it was his personal commitment to the late former chief minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem to resolve delayed projects in the state. Ismail Sabri said the ministry had set up a committee, chaired by the ministry’s secretary-general, to oversee “sick” projects. He had also announced the setting up of two committees in Sarawak and Sabah to monitor the implementation of rural projects in both states. For this year, the government spent RM94.4 million to run housing projects for the hardcore poor in Sarawak,” he said.
