Auckland police released an image via social media, of the pontoon being towed away on June 10. The hunt is underway for a pontoon, last seen being towed by a boat then loaded on to a trailer in south Auckland. Police have asked for any information about the pontoon that was allegedly stolen on June 10 from Waiheke Island. "The pontoon was last seen being loaded on to a trailer at Kawakawa Bay boat ramp," police said on a social media post. Kawakawa Bay is in rural south Auckland and is a short boat ride from Waiheke Island's Otakawhe Bay, where locals believe the pontoon was originally moored.
