MANILA, Philippines — After being estranged for more than three years, former allies incoming Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and outgoing Mayor Joseph Estrada met yesterday to thresh out the final details of the transition and the turnover of important documents. Moreno had a brief meeting with former mayor Alfredo Lim at a posh hotel in Manila before noon then proceeded to the city hall for a closed-door meeting with Estrada at around 2:30 p.m. In a press briefing, Estrada said he is leaving the city government in good hands and asked Manileños to rally behind Moreno. Moreno also asked for the Commission on Audit report, contracts and loan agreements, annual budget, organizational structure, statement of debt service, procurement plans, statement of cash flow and bidding results of all the city government’s transactions. Moreno also asked for the records of unliquidated cash, supplemental procurement plans and the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund.
