Ishraque Hossain CollectedThe Dhaka Special Court 4 sets February 9 for starting the trial through deposition of witnessesA Dhaka court has indicted BNP-backed mayoral candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Ishraque Hossain in a graft case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The Dhaka Special Court 4 on Wednesday framed the charges in presence of Ishraque rejecting a discharge petition filed by the accused. Judge Sheikh Nazmul Alam also set February 9 for starting the trial through deposition of witnesses. As he did not comply with the notice, former assistant director Shamsul Alam of the ACC filed a case against Ishraque with Ramna police station on August 29, 2010. On December 6, 2018, ACC Deputy Director Jahangir Hossain, also the investigation officer of the case, submitted a charge sheet to the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
