The area is currently on fire following a fresh explosion around 7.30 Wednesday morning due to activities of the said vandals, who the residents said had been terrorising the place unabated for more than two years now. “Our children are not confident to return from schools because of the panicking situation in the Area,” he said, lamenting that the community had been experiencing this threat for over two years with the situation remaining exactly the same. “The community has been experiencing this threat for over two years now and the situation has not changed and has become a serious threat to our lives now. Our lives and properties are under serious threat,” Jimoh said. He, therefore, appealed to the Lagos State government and authorities of NNPC to provide a 24- hour surveillance security on the pipelines in the area in order to apprehend the vandals.
