The 27-year-old, who is currently India's eighth-highest wicket-taker in Tests, however, has lifted his game in the West Indies. Ishant has looked much in control of his bowling since Kohli took over the reigns from Mahendra Singh Dhoni in December 2014. Ishant was fined and banned for one match following a verbal spat with a few Sri Lankan players. Ishant did not find much success against South Africa at home but he did play an instrumental role in India's historic Test series win over the Proteas. Ishant has been India's pace spearhead since injury-prone Zaheer Khan lost favour with the selectors but he has often failed to do justice to this tag.
