The youngster also appealed and the third umpire had to check if Tom Latham was hit-wicket or not. The replays showed that Kishan had dislodged the bails intentionally and his actions could have invited a lengthy ban. As per a report in stuff.co.nz, match referee Javagal Srinath spoke to Kishan, Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid. While it isn't known why he tricked the umpires, it seemed like Kishan did it in response to Latham's actions.
