Medical treatment will be provided to those having annual incomes below ₹3 lakh and have not enrolled in any insurance schemes at accredited hospitals, Finance Minister T.M. He clarified that two health schemes, Ayushman Bharat and Karunya Benevolent Scheme, cannot be run simultaneously. The total collectible tax from the State has been pegged at ₹4,000 crore. Though the arrears were pegged at ₹13,000 crore earlier, a realistic assessment has found that only ₹4,000 crore could be collected. Charges of the government acting in a partisan manner in apportioning schemes of the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) are unfounded.
