In every profession there are ethical, and less ethical, ways of going about things, once legal minimum standards have been met. And some landlords do behave in ways that prevent tenants from feeling like they have a “home” at all. Landlords can be ethical, or unethical, just as less-frequently vilified investors in other asset classes can be.
