In all my work with teams, I’ve become convinced that good staff culture is the number one differentiator between a good team and an exceptional team. Here are a few characteristics I’ve noticed that are common among truly high-trust staffs. If your team members are terrified of making mistakes, then your team lacks trust. A high-trust team is utterly free of micromanaging. These leaders don’t really trust their team, and their team certainly doesn’t trust them.
