Half-Life Alyx ValveThe past week or so we have seen a number of high-profile delays in the video game industry, with Final Fantasy VII, Avengers and Cyberpunk 2077 all delayed out of their original spring windows. Half-Life: Alyx was announced almost exactly two months ago, and one of the biggest surprises other than its mere existence was a release date in March 2020, less than four months away. Well, we are heading toward February in just over a week here, and the game still does not have a fixed March release date announced as of yet. So to have a Valve game announced and released four months later seems unlikely, if not impossible. There is a lot riding on Half-Life: Alyx so Valve needs to make sure to get it right the first time.
