I'd long known about Silvercar: The Audi-owned car rental service that aims to mix the ease of Uber with the actually-having-a-car of a car rental service. There are few experiences more aggravating than waiting in line at a car rental kiosk while an understaffed desk dutifully registers a long line ahead of you. With a car reserved, the app gives you clear and detailed instructions on finding your car upon arrival at the airport. When I used it in Miami, the Silvercar garage was directly adjacent to the main airport car rental facility and very easy to find. Every car in Silvercar's arsenal is an identical head-turner, with loads of standard features that would normally cost a pretty penny as add-ons, if a car rental even has them.
