Now, after a long and trying development, we’re finally able to see the Thunderbirds in action. The Thunderbirds (the 45th Infantry Division) was a National Guard unit composed of enlistees from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. On April 29, 1945, the 45th became one of the first units to reach the Dachau concentration camp.
