It was being reported that Aditya Roy Kapur who was all set to work with Mohit Suri once again in the sequel to Ek Villain has taken a step back from the project. The movie also stars John Abraham as one of the leads with Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria as the leading ladies. BL quoted a source which read as "Aditya didn't like how John's role was overpowering his in the film. Every character has its importance but Aditya was of the opinion that John has a meatier part and he wasn't quite happy about it. The sequel to Ek Villain 2 is titled Do Villains and would have been the third collaboration of Mohit and Aditya after Aashiqui 2 and Malang.
