An 'irreplaceable' housekeeper on a hospital ward has died after contracting coronavirus as the death toll among NHS staff climbs to 45. Cheryl Williams, who worked as a housekeeper on an elderly patient ward at North Middlesex University Hospital in Edmonton, north London, died on Easter Sunday. North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust said: 'With greatest sadness, we can confirm the death of our much-loved colleague Cheryl Williams. Ms Campbell was treated in intensive care at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, after she tested positive for the virus. With 'great sadness', the chief executive of the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust Lance McCarthy, announced her death and paid tribute to her 'professionalism and commitment'.
