Highlights 1 Congress disrupted winter session of Parliament for six days. Ironically, the Congress party that had cried foul over delay in convening the winter session was also the main reason for not letting it function smoothly. Congress president Sonia Gandhi had accused the prime minister of delaying the winter session of Parliament on "flimsy grounds". The Congress went to the extent of seeking President Ram Nath Kovind's intervention in convening the winter session of Parliament "at the earliest". As a result, a whole winter session of Parliament was washed out in 2012.
