A local police source told the paper that the woman had been left "in a state of shock". The men fled the scene, but didn't steal anything from the woman nor carry out any kind of sexual assault, reported Le Dauphiné Libéré newspaper. The 25-year-old woman was left with serious injuries to her face, according to reports. The attack occurred on Sunday morning in Avignon, southern France.
