Irish weather: Sunny spells and temperatures to hit 20 degrees – but heavy rain still on the cards


Sunny spells and dry stretches are on the way next week, but heavy rain is still possible for parts of the country, Met Éireann has said. Sunday will begin dry and sunny but cloud and rain will move across many parts of the country and temperatures will be between 13C and 18C. Overnight it will stay somewhat mild with patchy rain and drizzle and temperatures of between 9C to 11C. Conditions will improve as the day goes on with sunny spells developing and temperatures between 13C and 17C. Sunny spells that will turn hazy in parts of the south are forecast for Wednesday with highest temperatures to be between 15C and 19C.
