RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) " Rio de Janeiro police have arrested an Irish executive and his translator in an investigation of illegal sales of Olympics tickets. Mallon was arrested with fake tickets for the Rio Games and is accused of conspiracy charges and for helping sell tickets illegally, police said Monday. Police say THG Sports was part of an alleged ticket-scalping scheme that was uncovered during the 2014 World Cup. Authorities say Kevin James Mallon is one of the heads of the British firm THG Sports, a ticketing and hospitality provider. The state's investigative police also arrested a company's employee who was working as an interpreter during the games in a Friday raid.
