Eva OsbornePorsche has said its customers in Ireland will be contacted in relation to an ongoing recall in Britain. Some owners are being told not to drive their luxury cars "until further notice" over concerns the wheels could fall off. Around a thousand drivers in the UK have been sent warning letters or emails, and Porsche has now said that it will also be contacting Irish customers. As part of ongoing quality analyses, Porsche said it was found that the wheel fastening using centre lock wheels on the Porsche 718 (982), 911 (992) and Panamera (G3) models does not meet the specifications. To ensure the safe operation of the central screw connection, the car manufacturer said the central screw connections must be inspected and replaced if necessary.
